Mandatory detention is a crime against humanity. It leaves permanent scars on those forced to endure it for unknown lengths of time, and I hate that the government is committing this crime in my name, and is willing to sacrifice the truth as well as human casualties to their goal. I want open borders and to acknowledge that trying to keep people out who want a better life is saying that our quality of life is more important than anyone else's. It's time to break the dominance of white western capitalism - and I wish I could be there in person!
