Opening note by Florian Schneider

Changing the whole system while running is one of the meanings of make
world.
By any means linking up, making connections, finding new approaches in
order to bring together what's developed in so many places,
simultanously, independently and autonomously.
We all know, that there is no common perspective, what is been
struggling against and what they have fought for. There won't be a
common ground, but there is a multitude of perspectives. Therefore it's
more important than ever to meet.
The overal goal of this event is going far beyond theory and practices:
Inventing new possibilities for life, regain subjectivity and talk about
what we're doing and why.
We received many feed-back, what make world may mean and what not.
It's a command, it's a chance, it's a try. It's meant as the opposite of
mac world, the very known and bad notion of globalization. Make world
refers to Power not as command, authority and souvereignty, but power as
a creative, innovative and constructive force: power as world-making.
Make world is work in progress. Beyond this weekend we hope to continue
this project as a platform. Once we all have met, we may truly
communicate through a variety of channels and we really hope that many
concrete initiatives, common ideas, and all sort of exchange will
evolve.

In the night from wednesday to thursday police was raiding the offices
and flats of activists who participated in an online demonstration four
months ago.
